“Being the market leader in 3 years” is the challenge to meet. The leader of a small healthcare company, product of a recent carve-out, wanted to give an identity to the new structure and to federate the team around an ambitious project: becoming the world leader on the market within 3 years. The Appreciative Inquiry method was selected. A 2-day off-site seminar during which the twelve team members participated took place followed by a workshop 6 months later. From the 24 interviews, 8 projects supporting the envisaged future were implemented further to the 24 interviews and the various works carried out during the change initiative.

From September 2013 until June 2014, Jean-Luc Jaffard participated in the French program « Miss Mandarine » with which the purpose was to accompany start-ups on the strategic vision of their company as well as on the management of their day-to-day issues. In particular, Jean-Luc brought to digital Essence his wide expertise, with focus on the strategic positioning and the clarification of the start-up offer.

Thanks to the Appreciative Inquiry, the management, the team members and the numerous stakeholders worked in small-groups or all together during 2 consecutive days. At the end of the initiative, 5 major projects were identified and launched to implement the change: business development, communication, organization, well-being, recognition. The intervention was highly appreciated and considered to be a great success. A follow-up workshop was organized 3 months later to present the status of every projects, the on-going adjustments and the first tangible results.

Redondi Fabienne Red Belt Speak&Share Sept 2013In September 2013, Red Belt organized in Geneva a Meet Up dedicated to the Human Resources and Organization Development managers of 30 renowned companies of the Geneva county. The topic was: «When a critical or sensitive change occurs within an organization or a team, what do you propose? “. Fabienne Redondi, accompanied with Anne Moity, presented her quite new approach of change management through the Appreciative Inquiry method. The participants were able to experiment the positive impact of an appreciative interview. They were able to understand how a strength-based approach could limit the resistances and generates a momentum towards change. They then discussed the interest of such an innovative approach for HR within their companies.

The topic was «After you have reengineered the organization, how do you reengineer the mindsets that make it work? “. One leader of a Private Bank presented the results obtained thanks to Fabienne Redondi’s intervention.  Fabienne, accompanied with Anne Moity, and then presented her quite new approach of change management based on strengths: the Appreciative Inquiry method. The participants also experienced the impressive qualities of an appreciative interview, and discussed together about the benefits of this innovative approach in their particular contexts.
